Adrienne- Very thoughtful reflection on the current state of the sport. As you say there are specific characteristics (some of them may a little quirky) that define pickleball and make it the unique game that we love. But as it evolves into a more competitive sport and is being taken more seriously (nationally televised tournaments, etc) the ball regulations may need to be taken more seriously. I know there are ball specifications defined by the USAPA but in the future maybe they need to take a closer look at quality control and consistency (hardness, bounce height, etc) and take a more stringent approach to the approval process…? I don’t have the exact solution but we may need to look to other professional sports and mimic their process. Matt-
